SELECTING THE RIGHT PRE-PURCHASE REPORT
WRITTEN BUILDING REPORT
This is the report you need when you are buying or selling. It is extremely comprehensive yet easy to read, great for lenders and insurers.
It will highlight and advise on any issues viewed from a construction experts’ perspective, putting focus on the structural elements of the home. It will provide you with all of the information you need to inform yourself or a potential buyer about the status of the house from a practical point of view.
HEALTHY HOMES REPORT

The Healthy Homes Standards aim to make a significant change to the quality of New Zealand rental homes and cover improvements to heating, insulation, and ventilation and addressing issues with moisture ingress, drainage and draught stopping.

This report will identify the elements of the dwelling that need immediate repairs to assist with keeping it compliant with the Healthy Homes Guarantee Act 2017.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS THAT YOU CAN "ADD-ON"
METH TESTING REPORT

Unfortunately, meth testing is one of those things that is a big part of buying and selling and renting a home. Make sure you add on meth testing for your home for peace of mind, and as a document to prove it has been checked for your insurer should any issues arise.

Once samples are taken and sent to the laboratory it takes 2 working days to complete the testing (this excludes courier delivery time). Testing is carried out in accordance to NZS8510.

FLOOR LEVEL REPORT

The Canterbury Earthquakes have taught us that floor level surveys help significantly to prove after an event that issues to do with your foundations are not historic... Make life easier for yourself and tack on having these checked by our qualified LBPs to safeguard your home for any future claim.

Floor level surveys will also help with understanding the current status of the foundations which will be useful for any future developments of the property such as renovations.

ONLY CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS WHO UNDERSTAND HOW HOMES ARE BUILT TRULY HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE TO IDENTIFY THE ELEMENTS OF A HOUSE AND PROVIDE YOU WITH THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO DECIDE IF A HOUSE IS A GOOD INVESTMENT – OR NOT.

Which areas do the Red LBP team cover?

Red LBP currently services the entire South Island, all of Auckland, Whangarei and Bay of Islands, we also have an inspector in the Waikato, Tauranga, and the Wellington region. New territories are added regularly as the team continues to grow.

Do you follow the NZ Standard?

Absolutely, the software we use not only aligns but surpasses the requirements within the voluntary NZ Standard for Building inspection in NZ.

Are you insured?

It is compulsory for Red LBP franchisees to be fully insured with professional indemnity insurance. This insurance covers any advice given, and is granted to us due to the level of qualifications and experience our team members have.

Why should I use Red LBP?

Good question! In NZ we love our homes, and good advice when buying and selling is so important.

Unfortunately, there is no requirement for a building inspection to be completed by a qualified and experienced building professional which is the main reason why building inspections create so many issues for property transactions.
